The consulting firm ec4u expert consulting ag was a finalist in the category “Best Innovation in Medium-Sized & Family Business”at the virtual award ceremony of the Impact of Diversity Award on March 4.
The Impact of Diversity (IOD) is a project of the Women’s Career Index (FKi) developed by Barbara Lutz. The aim is to connect people and initiatives with decision-makers in order to raise awareness of diversity among executives in German businesses and politics. The goal is to communicate the positive impact of diversity and bring about change.
“Diversity not only enriches corporate culture and society,” explains Barbara Lutz, Managing Director of FKi. “It also demonstrably makes companies more innovative, sustainable and successful. With the Impact of Diversity, we are creating a central platform to spread the positive impact of diversity on companies and society and, above all, to initiate concrete steps and changes.”
The Impact of Diversity Awards are presented in thirteen categories. The jury is made up of experts from the industry, universities, companies, associations and initiatives. ec4u was nominated in the category “Best Innovation in Medium-Sized & Family Business”, where it was a finalist alongside Sixt and Holzwerke Gleitsmann, the latter being announced the winner at the virtual award ceremony on Thursday, March 4.
Diversity in the company
“We are incredibly proud of the nomination and to have been finalists,” explains Sabine Kirchem, Managing Director Corporate Communications and member of ec4u’s Diversity Team. “We are continuously working on strengthening diversity in the company and supporting employees. We do this together with partners, through mentoring projects, but also with our guardrails and the way we communicate with each other. In the end, there is always work to be done and we see the nomination as an incentive that we are on the right track and it also motivates us to continue on.”
ec4u has had a diversity team for several years, which has set itself the goal of initiating projects, topics and issues within the company in order to strengthen diversity and equality in the long term. For example, ec4u is part of Salesforce’s “Bring Women Back to Work” initiative as well as the net4tec-initiative, but also offers its own coaching and mentoring programs internally and develops concepts to promote diversity in job postings, but also in everyday work.
