Through energy efficiency, CO² neutrality and resource conservation through sustainable purchasing, we promote environmental protection along the entire value chain. Each one of us makes a small contribution to the environment and together we – as ec4u – can create sustainable changes.
Through the promotion of young people, regional projects, and the support of the Fair Company Initiative we want to make a sustainable contribution to the positive development of our society.
Acting economically sustainable – this means to not put our next generation at a disadvantage but also to recognize current problems and take measures against them. For example, ec4u is actively engaged against all forms of corruption, extortion and bribery.
The Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct of the ec4u is an orientation aid for all employees for their daily work. It is intended to strengthen the holistic awareness and acts as a guideline for moral and ethical issues. Not only everyone at ec4u but also our suppliers and business partners declare their willingness to follow our Code of Conduct and to pass it on to all parties involved in the supply chain.
The „Global Compact of the United Nations“ is currently the world’s largest and most important network for corporate responsibility and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Since 2015 we have been a member of the Global Compact and actively support its ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and corruption prevention and integrate them into our everyday work.
Every year, we meet the extensive evaluation criteria of the international evaluation platform EcoVadis. Our Gold CSR rating puts us among the top 1% of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis worldwide. The analysis and evaluation is based on 21 criteria in the areas environment, working conditions and human rights, fair business practices and sustainable procurement.

The digital world is constantly evolving and we at ec4u are evolving with it. Together with our university partners, we realize trend-setting software development projects and offer young talents sufficient space to realize their ideas.
The Sustainability Report
The annual sustainability report of ec4u reports on goals, progress and measures in the field of sustainability. The content and structure of the report is based on current and recognized standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). By supporting the UN Global Compact (UNGC), we use its standards as a guide. The sustainability Report 2019 of ec4u (report in German) has been prepared in accordance with the Sustainability Reporting Standards in the “Core” option and thus also serves as a Communication on Progress (COP) within the framework of the UNGC membership.
